PML-N Gujrat leaders join PML-Q

Important political leaders Ch Bashir Ahmad and Ch Basharat, considered as the 'backbone' of PML-N in Gujrat politics, called on PML-Q senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Ch Wajahat Hussain at their residence in Lahore on Wednesday and announced joining PML-Q along with their supporters, thus ending their 50 years long political affiliation with Nawab family of N League. 

PML-N candidate for the office of chairman, Ch Bashir Ahmad, and for the office of vice-chairman, Ch Basharat, from Lakhanwal Union Council, Gujrat, joined PML-Q along with Ch Mushtaq, Ch Ashraf Mithu, Ch Nazir Mithu, Ch Asghar, Ch Safdar Baloch, Ch Muhammad Ashraf, Ch Muhammad Asghar, Ch Muhammad Ilyas ad Ch Jabbar among several others. 

Former MPA Abdullah Yousuf, Ch Muhammad Inayat, Ch Mouhammad Akram, Ch Shakeel and Ch Aftab Sarwar were also present. 

Welcoming them in the party, Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that joining of PML-Q by the N League's 'backbone' was very welcome development, adding that this would have deep impact on the local politics and the party would further strengthen in Gujrat. 

Ch Bashir Ahmad said, "We decided to end 50 years long affiliation with N-League and joined Ch Shujaat Hussain, Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Ch Wajahat Hussain because they are real protectors of honour and prestige of Gujrat". Nobody else could do the work which was accomplished by Ch Pervaiz Elahi for the welfare of people in Punjab particularly in Gujrat, they added.
