PM felicitates French president-elect
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has congratulated French President-elect Emmanuel Macron on his victory in the elections. "On behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan, and on my own behalf, I have a great pleasure in conveying my heartiest congratulations on your historic election as the President of the French Republic. It is a measure of the trust reposed by the people of France in your inspiring leadership and progressive vision.
“I am sanguine that the existing friendly ties between our two countries would continue to grow under your leadership. I look forward to working closely with you in the years ahead. I also wish to express my best wishes for your Excellency's personal health and happiness, and for the wellbeing and prosperity of the people of France," the prime minister said in a message of felicitation to the French president-elect.
