MANSEHRA: Tehreek-e-Sooba Hazara (Haqiqi) Convener Mushtaq Khan Swati has announced to launch a decisive movement for the creation of a new province.
“We would start a decisive movement ‘snatch Hazara’ in August to compel the government to give the status of a province to Hazara,” he told a news conference here on Saturday.
He said that Baba Haider Zaman has lost people’s support because of his miscalculated moves since the Hazara province movement gained momentum in recent years.
“I warn Baba Zaman not to indulge in politics of confrontation with political leaders like Imran Khan, as people would never support his call to restrict the entry of PTI chairman to Hazara,” he added.
Mushtaq Swati said that Baba Haider Zaman, the Chairman of Tehreek-i-Sooba Hazara, had earlier attempted to restrict the entry of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif into Hazara in 2011 but had failed to do so.
“I would advise him to struggle peacefully for the creation of Hazara province instead of challenging other political parties,” he added.
Haider Zaman, the chairman of TSH, had announced earlier this week that his party would restrict the entry of Imran Khan into Hazara next week when he was due in Abbottabad to address a public gathering to mobilise people to force the prime minister to step down in light of the Supreme Court judgment in the Panama Leaks case last month.
He said that his Tehreek had been striving for the creation of Hazara peacefully for the last three decades and the time was not far away when not only Hazara but also more federating units would be created in the country.
