Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Monday took notice of a video circulating on social media forums that purportedly shows a factory owner of Karachi beating and thrashing his employees.
Issuing orders to Sindh Labour Secretary Saeed Awan for a report on the incident, the CM called for immediate action against the offender. The chief minister asserted that such incidents were unacceptable and needed to be dealt with strictly.
The video, which made rounds on social media yesterday before being picked up by mainstream media outlets, shows a man viciously slapping, thrashing and also beating workers, including women, with canes.
