Terms Abid Sher ‘political lunatic’

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Responding to the allegations leveled by Minister of Water and Power Abid Sher Ali, Pakistan People’s Party leader Maula Bux Chandio lashed out at the PML-N leaders on Saturday, saying political people engage in logical and intelligent debates and don't take the route of cursing.

"I won't respond to them [PML-N leaders] as per their style but someone today told me that they are lashing out at us. I responded by saying today they are doing this because they all have been declared liars and corrupt people by the Supreme Court," Chandio said.

There could not be a bigger insult to a political leader than the highest court of the country declaring they [PM's family] submitted bogus evidence of their innocence, he stated.

Chandio said the PML-N's state minister himself brought Nawaz Sharif to the level of Uzair Baloch and Zulfiqar Mirza. "Now the PM would appear before the JIT as a common criminal."

He said those who are distributing sweets over the Panamagate verdict should be ashamed of themselves.

Chandio said let it be known that a liar used to call others thieves while, at the same time, calling himself righteous. "You have been called liar and thief by the court," said Chandio.

He said that the JIT has been formed against all those people who haven’t revealed the facts in the past.

The PPP leader asked what kind of message will be spread throughout the world after the premier will face the JIT. He also revealed that the PPP had never made a deal silently and that Asif Zardari is a brave leader who has never asked for forgiveness.

Maula Bakhsh Chandio also declared Abid Sher Ali a "political lunatic".

Separately, PPP leader Senator Saeed Ghani said it had been identified that the Sharif clan was corrupt.

The PM has not been cleared, he has only been given relief, Ghani said while talking to a private TV channel on Saturday. "When thieves are identified, their children create a ruckus," he said, adding that the joint investigation team will meet the same fate as the Model Town report. The senator further added that Chaudhry Nisar was the main character in the Dawn Leaks case.

Also, PPP Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira, while talking to a private TV channel, said that the abusing brigade of the PML-N has now come down to personal level. Kaira added that Abid Sher Ali should first answer the questions of Rana Sanaullah. "Nobody's family is hidden from anyone, only one press conference will open all the secrets of his family," Kaira said. He also said that Nawaz Sharif should keep a check on the language of his workers.
