PESHAWAR: Lieutenant General Nasir Khan Janjua, the commander of southern command, on Thursday visited Afghanistan where he met his counterpart and discussed ?matters related to border security coordination and ways and means to further enhance the existing mechanism.
Lt Gen Janua is Corps Commander Quetta. Before him, Corps Commander Peshawar, Lieutenant General Hidayatur Rahman, had also visited Afghanistan on January 18 and met his counterpart there.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said that these visits were aimed at enhancing the ongoing Pak-Afghan cooperation and help boost confidence between the armed forces of the two neighbouring countries. It didn’t say where the meetings were held and who represented Afghanistan in the talks.
