RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said Pakistan itself is a victim of state-sponsored terrorism and it strongly rejects allegations of employing proxies from its soil.
The army chief said this in a meeting with General HR McMaster, US National Security Adviser, who called on the COAS at the General Headquarters on Monday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The visiting dignitary was briefed about Pakistan's war on terror and its contributions to regional and global stability. It was highlighted that the distinguishing feature of Pakistan's counter terrorism effort was the focus against terrorists of all hue and colour.
The US national security adviser acknowledged the Pakistan Army's efforts in eliminating terrorists and their infrastructure, assuring the US support to bring peace and stability in the region and globe.
