Another Bedian Road blast victim dies

Another victim of Bedian Road blast succumbed to  his injuries at hospital raising the death toll to 8 on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Lance Naik Shamshad Ahmad, a resident of Multan.

The victim was admitted to CMH after the blast on census team on Bedian Road on April 5.  Student injured: A student suffered burns and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were burnt when a fire erupted at a school at Qila Lakshman Singh in the Qila Gujjar Singh police area on Tuesday.

Firefighters of Rescue 1122 put out the fire. The victim student was identified as Samiullah Rafiq. The fire had erupted due to a short-circuit. accidents: At least 725 road accidents were reported to the Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Punjab Emergency Service/Rescue 1122 from all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Five people were killed and 643 badly injured in the accidents. The injured were shifted to different hospitals. However, some 270 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid by the emergency medical teams.
