The Pakistan Customs Preventive Drug Enforcement Cell arrested a Pakistani national at the Karachi Airport with 1.5 kilogrammes of amphetamine. A Customs spokesman said the passenger – Abdul Rehman – was to travel to Taif, Saudi Arabia, via Dubai on Saudi Airlines. A search of his luggage led to the recovery of 1.5 kilogrammes of amphetamine that had been concealed in a false bottom of his suitcase. Rehman was arrested on the spot and a case was registered.
