Killed terrorist identified

An alleged terrorist who was killed by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Factory Area on Friday night has been identified as Tariq, a resident of Manawan.

However, the arrested woman and her accomplice belonged to KP. A CTD team along with personnel of the sensitive agencies had started a search operation in Punjab Housing Society on Friday night during which some terrorists opened firing. As a result, the CTD team retaliated in the same fashion in which a terrorist was killed while two terrorists including a woman were arrested. The terrorists had taken the house on rent three months back and were planning to carry out terrorist activities in Lahore. Three cops also sustained injuries. They were shifted to hospital for treatment. The CTD recovered two suicide jackets and four hand grenades from the custody of terrorists. An FIR 11/17 has been registered against them at CTD police station.

Buried: The bodies of two children and a woman who had committed suicide after killing her kids were handed over to their families after autopsy. The bodies were buried in the local graveyard after performing burial rituals. The victim woman’s father said Kiran had never talked about domestic issues. Her husband said minor scuffles were part of life at every home but he never thought that she would take such a big step. Police said the real motive behind this tragedy would be revealed after investigations.
