Asad enters tennis tourney quarters

KARACHI: Asad Khan defeated Mustafa Tariq to advance into the quarter-finals of men’s singles event in 13th Westbury Open Sindh Ranking Tennis Championship here on Wednesday at DA Creek Club.
Asad Khan overpowered Mustafa in straight sets, recording a convincing 7-5, 6-3 triumph.
Hasan Farooq also recorded a straight-set 6-3, 6-4 victory against Saud Shoaib and confirmed his place in the quarter-finals.
Malik Hamza eased into quarter-finals of the event after getting a walkover against Nouman Aftab.
Ibrahim Khan thrashed Mustafa Murtaza, recording an 8-0 triumph and secured his place in the semi-finals of under 11 singles.
