Acute water shortage hits Arya Mohallah
Rawalpindi
With the advent of summer, water shortage has started to hit residents of Arya Mohallah hard. Many streets of Arya Mohalla including street 17 and 17/2 have been facing acute water shortage for the last four days.
People are forced to get water from filtration plants and street taps, as supply of water inside homes has badly suffered due to power outages.
When asked the tube-well operator of Arya Mohallah said, he opens the supply valve in time. But many streets have to wait for water as the timing of power outages and supply of water coincide.
On Wednesday, females of the area contacted the Councillor of the Union Council 45, Irfan Shaukat Awan. He assured the residents of the area that the problem will be sorted out very soon.
The residents of the area have appealed to Islamabad Electricty Supply Company (iesco) and Water and Sanitation Agency to work in tandem for smooth supply of water in every locality.
