Misusing social media

Facebook is a powerful social media platform and is becoming an increasingly important way of obtaining information not only about friends and family but also about world events. However, the misuse of this social media has become rampant. Hacking Facebook accounts is a crime. Getting access to someone’s account without their consent is illegal and an act that can get a person imprisoned and fined heavily.

Civil society activists, educators and teachers should assist young people in learning how to use new technology creatively and productively.
