Traffic on Karachi-Hyderabad highway was cleared on Sunday afternoon after 15 hours of a gridlock that occurred when a speeding oil tanker overturned near Nooriabad on Saturday night.
No injuries were reported in the accident but it brought traffic flow to a complete standstill.
Hundreds of vehicles got stuck on both the tracks, leading to and from Karachi, after commuters on the affected side began going the wrong way, the police stated. Some ambulances were reported stuck in the traffic.
The trailer according to highway traffic authorities, flipped near Nooriabad while climbing the Lakki Marwat road.
The commuters on the tracks leading from Karachi to Hyderabad and Jamshoro to Karachi were forced to spend the night on the highway.

A man lost his life while another sustained injuries in two separate road accidents on Sunday.
The fatal accident involved a pedestrian identified as Sana, aged 28. Officials said he was crossing a road when a speeding vehicle ran him over near Do Minute Chowrangi in New Karachi. His body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities. While crossing a road in Landhi, 22-year-old Sajjad was injured when a vehicle rammed into him. He was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
