PTV make 99-4 on opening day
KARACHI: Pakistan Television were 99-4 on the first day of their four-day final of the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II against Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) at Diamond Club Ground Islamabad on Saturday.
Sarmad Bhatti belted 41 which came off 100 balls and had three fours. Mohammad Irfan was at the crease on 26, he had hammered three fours. Raheel Majeed fell for 41-ball 26 which had four hits to the fence.
Test pacer Imran Khan Senior was the pick of the bowlers with 3-25.
Only 32-over game could be made possible due to wet conditions in the federal capital. The game was scheduled to begin from Friday but was rescheduled because of heavy rain in Islamabad the other day.
The winners would qualify for first-class cricket and would replace Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy first-class this season which would begin in September-October.
