Two dacoits killed in Kasur encounter

KASUR: Two robbers were killed during an encounter with B-Division police near Darbar Baba Kamal Shah on Wednesday.
According to the police, four robbers on two motorcycles snatched Rs 50,000 and a mobile phone from Muhammad Imran near Khara Morr in the limits of Sadr police station. Imran immediately informed the police, which set up pickets at various places.
In the meantime, B-Division police spotted four suspects on two motorcycles and signaled them to stop. The accused instead of stopping opened indiscriminate fire on the police, which was retaliated by them. As a result, two dacoits were killed on the spot while their accomplices managed to escape. The killed robbers were later identified as Mazhar and Liaqat.
The police claimed that the killed robbers were wanted by Kasur, Sheikhupura and Okara police in 44 cases of encounter, murder, robbery and dacoity. The police further claimed that the robbers were killed by their own accomplices during the encounter.
BOY MURDERED: Unidentified people killed a four-year-old boy after abducting him at Bahrwal village in the limits of Chunian police station.
According to the police, Muhammad Saif had been missing since Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday, the police recovered the body of Saif. The reason behind the incident could not be ascertained so far. The police have shifted the body to the Chunian THQ Hospital for autopsy and registered a case.
