Class 2 student tortured by teacher for not doing homework

GUJRANWALA: A class two student was allegedly tortured by the teacher of the Government Primary School for not doing homework here on Wednesday.
Reportedly, accused teacher Zeenat asked seven-year-old Danish to show his homework. When the student failed to do so, the teacher allegedly tortured him with the help of a stick. As a result, Danish received injuries on his body. Later, parents of the student staged a demonstration in front of the school and demanded stern action against the teacher.
RECORD SOUGHT IN FRAUD CASE: A court has sought record from the concerned officers in a fraud case.
Earlier, Kakochi Hero, a Japanese, in his application alleged that he invested millions of rupees in a housing colony at Sambrial. Later, he alleged, his partners Yasin and Fiaz with collaboration of revenue officials transferred 16-Marla land in their name. The petitioner said that he gave an application to the AC concerned who later referred the case to the ACE. Later, he added, the ACE booked revenue officials, Mahmood Bhatti and Abdul Razzaq, but the ACE officials were not arresting the accused. The petitioner demanded action against the concerned ACE officials for not arresting the accused.
3 HELD FOR CORRUPTION: ACE circle officer Amir Hussain on Wednesday arrested three officials of the Education Department on the charge of recruit people illegally in their department.
They are assistant Munir Ahmed, driver Muhammad Mudassar and junior clerk Hafiz Ansar Javed. After inquiry, allegations against the accused were proved.
JUDICIAL REMAND: A court on Wednesday sent two youngsters on 14 days judicial remand who were involved in abduction case of two minor girls.
Accused Waqar, 15, and Arbaz, 16, was allegedly involved in abduction of two class 8 students Laiba and Ansa. Later, both girls were recovered by the police.
