A change of clothes

The Punjab government has decided to change police uniforms. The Lahore police were the first to be given the olive green new uniforms. The conversion from the old to the new uniform for the rest of the police force in the province will be completed by October 2017.       

Keeping in view the alarming rate of crime in Punjab, instead of changing uniforms, the government should focus more on bringing reforms in the police department. One hopes the government reconsiders its priorities as nothing is more important than the lives and properties of the public at large.
