Islamabad
The Capital Administration and Development Division has issued directives to all organisations working under its administrative control on how to grant ex-Pakistan leave to their employees.
In an order, a copy of which is available with ‘The News’, the CADD overseeing Islamabad’s educational, health and social welfare organisations since the decentralisation of these subjects in 2013 said it had observed with great concern that the officers often submitted their applications for the grant of ex-Pakistan leave or earned leave one or two days before going on leave and that, too, without providing the names of countries to be visited, leave plans, and leave entitlement certificates.
It added that under the situation, it faced great difficulty in obtaining the applications’ approval from the competent authority, which had ordered the issuance of necessary instructions for the immediate stoppage of the trend.
The CADD said in future, all its officials would furnish all requests for the grant of leave at least 15 days before doing on leave.
It said no such application would be processed if the name of the country desired to be visited was missing, travel schedule was not mentioned, or leave entitlement certificate was not provided.
The CADD also said no official would be allowed to travel abroad without securing a valid no objection certificate from it. It asked all organisations overseen by it to comply with the advisory in letter and spirit.
