The Ambassador of Nepal Sewa Lamsal Adhikari has praised the people of Pakistan and said Pakistanis are very peaceful and hospitable with great cultural values, and Pakistan and Nepal enjoy friendship for long time.
The ambassador expressed these views at "Nepal Musical Evening 2017", held to celebrate the 57th anniversary of Nepal-Pakistan diplomatic relations, at the Alhamra Hall, by the Embassy of Nepal, Islamabad, in collaboration with the Lahore Arts Council on Friday evening.
The ambassador remarked "Our friendship is as old as Himalayas; we share rich and common heritage, including the Gandhara Civilisation Legacy and the Gautam Buddha historical relics. She said both the friendly countries share love, harmony, peace and mutual respect.
About Lahore, the Nepal's ambassador said this city has historical relations with Nepal since many Nepalese have been working and visiting Lahore since ages. She said the Nepali people love Pakistani Ghazal singers, dramas and cricket which is very popular in Nepal.
Later, the Nepalese singers presented beautiful Nepali songs with a mixture of Urdu which were highly appreciated by the audience.
Provincial Minister for Disaster Management Mehr Ijaz Ahmad, Lord Mayor of Lahore Mubasher Javed and Capt (r) Atta Muhammad Khan also spoke on this occasion.
