FAISALABAD: The Rodala police have registered a case against eight people, including a khateeb, on the charge of delivering a speech against a sect during a conference at Chak 275/GB.
Maulna Farooq Muavia, Muhammad Yousaf, Aurangzeb, Allah Ditta, Muhammad Farooq, Nawaz Shakir, Zakir Hussain and Dr Nazir Ahmad have been booked under section 295 of the PPC. The case has been registered on the report of Muhammad Arif.
5 booked for torturing girl

FAISALABAD: The Batala Colony police have registered a case against Muhammad Azeem and his four accomplices on charge of torturing a girl and tearing her clothes at Muhammadi Chowk.
Muhammad Waris told the police that he had a quarrel with Muhammad Azam over a minor dispute. He said that later Azam with his four accomplices beat up his daughter Saman and tore her clothes. A case has been registered against the accused under sections 337, 354 and 148/149 of the PPC.
