UVAS contests

University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in connection with spring festival 2017 arranged quiz, cooking, environment model and CEMS (first aid) competitions on Tuesday.
Students from various departments participated in the competitions. According to a press release, in quiz competition, Faisal/Arqam (Institute of Bio-Chemistry & Bio-Technology) team won 1st position, Arslan/Waqar (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) team got 2nd position while Mudassir/Kashif (Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) team stood 3rd. In an environment model competition, Rida Khan and Hadeeqa (Environment Sciences) group got first position, Hira Ashfaq and Muhammad Saad (DVM) got 2nd position and Nailish Ahmad and Abdullah (DVM) stood on third position. In Food Art and Cooking competitions, Doctor of Nutrition and Dietetic (DND) and Microbiology teams won first position. Meanwhile, Centre for Emergency and Medical Services (CEMS) organised various contests related to first aid, impaired object, CPR, eye bandage, etc. in which Anam and Zafar from Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) and Ramna (Biological Sciences) won first position.
Retired Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf was chief guests on the occasion and gave away shields among quiz contest winners.
