Murad, Memon, others meet Zardari, discuss crucial issues
LAHORE: A delegation from Sindh consisting of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Sharjeel Memon and Imdad Pitafi met the Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) President Asif Ali Zardari at the Bilawal House in Lahore on Sunday, according to sources.
The meeting discussed cases of Sharjeel Memon, inquiries, affairs of the Sindh government, census and the party affairs. The meeting continued for an hour.
Moreover, senior party leaders including Salim Mandviwala, Aurangzeb Barki, Mehreen Anwar Raja and Chaudhry Manzoor also held a meeting with Asif Zardari separately.
Sources said Sharjeel Memon informed Zardari about his cases and the latter advised the former to move the courts for disposal of cases.
Zardari said on the occasion the People’s Party had always faced fake cases and it would not be scared of the situation now. He told the visitors the PPP leaders and workers were not afraid of prisons.
Meanwhile, PPP’s Central Secretary Information Ch Manzoor Ahmad also visited ailing senior journalist and columnist Munnu Bhai at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), Lahore, and conveyed him well wishes of Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
