ISLAMABAD: During the ongoing Operation Raddul Fasaad, at least six terrorists were killed in a Peshawar area, dozens of suspects were arrested in different parts of the country, and an FC jawan was injured in the Nushki area of Balochistan.
Six terrorists were gunned down in an exchange of fire with the Frontier Corps personnel during a search operation in the Machni area of Peshawar.
The FC personnel raided a hideout in Mosul Kor area of Machni on Saturday. According to an FC spokesperson, the personnel also recovered huge cache of weapons. Also, the Frontier Corps and security forces foiled a major terror bid in the Kohlu area of Balochistan on Saturday. According to an FC spokesman, 28-kg explosives, six rockets, five fuses, cameras and other items were recovered from the hideout of a banned organisation. In another raid, the FC and security forces arrested four suspected terrorists from Samungli in the suburb of Quetta. The arms recovered included three SMGs, six grenades, three rockets and hundreds of rounds.
Meanwhile, some unidentified militants attacked an FC vehicle and injured one officer in Nushki. The vehicle was passing through the Bostan area of Nushki district.
Also, at least 19 suspected persons were arrested during a search operation in the Old Golimar area and adjoining areas by the intelligence agencies. The personnel also recovered three Kalashnikovs, two repeaters, four TT pistols, three hand-grenades, a huge cache of bullets and impounded six maunds of charas.
