HARIPUR: An official of the Mansehra Central Prison was shot dead while his friend sustained injuries when motorcyclists opened fire on them at the Old Bus Stand in the limits of City Police Station on Sunday, official sources said.They said that two armed men, riding a motorcycle, arrived at the Old Bus Stand and opened fire on Sajid Rehman, jail warden and his friend Attiqur Rehman.The locals rushed them to the Women and Children Hospital where the official, Sajid Rehman, succumbed to his injuries while the condition of Attiqur Rehman was stated to be stable. The police registered a case against one Mehrban and started an investigation.
