NOWSHERA: Taking a serious note of the absenteeism by the staff of a local health facility in Nizampur, member of provincial assembly (MPA) Idrees Khattak ordered suspension of the in-charge and a lady doctor on Sunday, sources said.
The sources said that following the public complaints, MPA Idrees Khattak paid a visit to the health facility in Nizampur where the in-charge and lady doctor were found absent from their duties. The sources said that the lawmaker also inspected the medical store in the facility, which was empty of medicines. The hospital ambulance had also been parked in out of order condition, the sources added.
Later, expressing his concern over the pathetic condition of the hospital, MPA Idrees Khattak said that those employees and doctors who did not ensure their professionalism would be relieved from services. He said that a detailed enquiry report had been forwarded to the provincial government and health department for necessary action.
