Irfan Siddique meets Punjab governor

Adviser to Prime Minister for National History & Literary Heritage Irfan Siddique along with President Pakistan Green Task Force Dr. Jamal Nasir called on Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana at Punjab House, Islamabad on Thursday.
Talking on the occasion, Punjab governor said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, government is striving hard to bring under developed areas at par with developed ones and the mega projects announced by the Prime Minister in his address at Gwadar is an example of his policies.
He said that Pakistan is progressing speedily and with the development of Baluchistan, sense of deprivation of the people of Baluchistan would be eliminated.
The Punjab governor was of the view that people of deprived areas deserves special attention and keeping in view the hardships of the inhabitants of far flung areas special initiatives had been adopted to mitigate their sufferings.
Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana referring to the National heritage appreciated the efforts of Irfan Siddique for establishing Regional Office of Academy of Letters in Multan and accepts his invitation to inaugurate the newly established office in Multan. He said that the literary circles will get benefit of this initiative and also lauded the creation of special fund for welfare of literary persons and artists by the Prime Minister.
Talking on the occasion Irfan Siddique briefed about the efforts made to promote literature and said that a Book Festival will be held at Islamabad and literary persons from all over the country would participate in the festival. Dr. Jamal Nasir apprised Governor Punjab about the achievements of Pakistan Green Task Force for environmental up-gradation initiatives. He said that special campaign has been launched for afforestation in accordance with Prime Minister Green Pakistan Programme.
