BAHAWALPUR
B-Division police on Sunday arrested Islamia University Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar sub-campus, Assistant Director Sports Badar Ahsan and his accomplice with 12kg charas.
Earlier, the police raided the residence of Badar at Hussainabad Colony as Bahawalnagar DPO Liaqat Ali Malik had received information that Badar Ahsan was allegedly running a network of drugs trafficking even at the sub-campus of the IUB. Bahawalnagar DPO Office spokesman Inspector Asif Saeed told The News that after receiving this information, the police monitored Badar and arrested him red-handed with his accomplice Jabbar and charas. Later, the police registered a case against Badar Ahsan and his accomplice and started investigation. When contacted, IUB PRO Khalid Shahzad confirmed the arrest of Badar Ahsan and said that further information would be provided later.
