PU, Chinese varsity sign MoU on CPEC research
LAHORE: Punjab University and China’s Jiangsu Normal University Thursday signed an MoU to do joint research on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The MoU signing ceremony was held at committee room of Vice Chancellor’s office which was attended by PU Vice VC Prof Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir, Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Iqbal Chawla, Jiangsu Normal University’s Vice President Prof Dr Cem Hong, Dean of Institute of One Belt One Road Prof Dr Shen Zheng Ping and faculty members. Under the MoU, both the universities would exchange teachers and postgraduate students and would carry out joint research projects on different aspects of CPEC. Jiangsu Normal University would also offer scholarships to Pakistani students. Talking to media, Dr Zafar Mueen Nasir said CPEC was a golden opportunity for both the countries which would really prove to be a game-changer for the region. He said all the segments of Pakistan would benefit from the gigantic trade project and the country would witness mega development projects. Later, both sides exchanged souvenirs.
