Imran, Siraj all praise for PSL final
ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan and JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq praised the overwhelming public response to the PSL final in Lahore.
Imran appreciated the public participation in the event in tweet. He extended good wishes to two finalists Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi. “Good luck & [and] best wishes to both cricket teams in the PSL final. Really appreciate the public’s participation. May Allah keep everyone safe,” Imran wrote.
Addressing a rally in Bannu, Siraj appreciated the efforts for the revival of cricket in the country, terming it a puff of fresh air in an atmosphere of tension, lawlessness and corruption. He, however, said tickets were beyond the reach of the masses as the rulers had levied taxes even on games and sports.
Siraj said both the teams playing the PSL final were Pakistanis and the victory of either would be a matter of joy for the nation. The presence of foreign players and officials was a welcoming sign, he added.
