The Sindh Madressatul Islam University vice chancellor said on Saturday that the institute had established a video link with the Higher Education Commission at a cost of Rs12.5 million which would enable students to gain access to opportunities of learning all across the world.
Moreover, he said, groups of students from SMIU will also be able to visit the UK with collaboration of the British Council.
He was addressing the new batch of students inducted into the varsity at the orientation ceremony held at its Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Auditorium.
On the occasion, he welcomed the students and urged them to learn as much as they could from this great institution, where father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had also studied for four-and-a-half years.
