Imran phobia

This refers to the news story, ‘Imran running away from judicial commission’ (January 15). Everyone must be laughing at the information minister for issuing this statement. He should know that it is the government that has to set up a judicial commission and not Imran Khan. Equally amusing is his assertion that the PTI chief will face the ‘Go Imran go’ slogan everywhere.
Those criticising Imran for using the official protocol must study the green book on the subject. Official protocols have their own SOPs. Broadly speaking, it consists of a caravan of vehicles. Reportedly, Imran reached Peshawar with just two cars. He visited the school along with the KP CM, ministers and other VIPs numbering around 20. Describing this as protocol is simply beyond comprehension. Pervez Rashid is well advised to come out of the Imran phobia, stop holding meaningless conferences and avoid theatrical language because it is unbefitting of a minister. Such statements are doing no good other than tarnishing his own image and of his party.
