PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani visited Dera Ismail Khan where he addressed a police darbar and chaired a meeting of local elders and elected representatives.
Addressing the police darbar, the IG said that KP police were the most courageous and professional force of the country and he was a proud commander of a force. He said the sacrifices offered by the police for security of the state and protection of life, honour and property of the public would be remembered in the history.
The IGP said during the last three and a half years, he tried his level best to improve the performance of the force so that it comes up to the expectations of the general public.
The IGP distributed cash prizes and commendation certificates amongst the jawans who demonstrated excellent performance against the terrorists and criminals from time to time in different actions.
Later, the IGP also held a meeting with local elders, elected representatives and senior officers of different line departments. The local elders appreciated the reforms in the police.
