THE Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has announced a combined “Movement Disorder Clinic” on every Saturday from 11:00am to 01:00pm with a view to improve the clinical services at the Neurosurgery Department of the hospital.
According to Principal of Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI)/Lahore General Hospital Prof Anjum Habib Vohra, all the cases with the movement disorder, including Parkinson disease, Distonia, Chorea and essential tramers, will be examined at the Neurosurgery OPD on Saturday in room No.4.
He also informed the media that a multidisciplinary team, headed by Prof of Neurosurgery Dr Khalid Mehmood, had been constituted for the treatment of the movement disorder patients.
Other members of team are Neuro-physician Dr Shahid Mukhtar and Physiotherapist Hafiz Ijaz.
Prof. Vohra further said earlier a special procedure of Deep Brain Stimulation was also introduced in the Lahore General Hospital for the treatment of Parkinson and other Neuro disorders and the new invention of Movement Disorder Clinic will further enhance the facilities for the treatment of neurological disorders.
