PESHAWAR: The first computerised arms licence centre of the province was inaugurated in Swabi district.
Provincial Senior Minister for Information Technology Shahram Khan Tarakai formally inaugurated the centre by unveiling the plaque on Tuesday, said a handout. The centre has been set up under the "Computerisation of Arms Licences" Project of Information Technology Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said a handout.
Similar Computerised Arms Licence Centre have also been established in twelve other districts of the province including, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Malakand, Swat, Buner, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Haripur, Abbottabad and Karak which will formally be inaugurated soon. The project is aims at automating the entire process of manual issuance of arms licences throughout the province.
