Three people, including former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker, were shot dead in separate incidents on Thursday.
Inamul Haq, 28, was shot dead when unidentified men shot him outside his residence in the Orangi Town at Nishan-e-Haider Chowk.
The unknown armed men came on a motorcycle at Inam’s house, knocked his door and when he came out of his residence they opened fire at him and fled.
After hearing the fire shots, Inam’s family members and area people rushed to the spot and saw his body in a pool of blood. They immediately informed the police which took the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
The police have claimed that the deceased was former MQM worker and was killed in a targeted incident.
In an incident that police claimed was of old enmity, 40-year-old Allah Bukhsh and his friend Shoaib, 30, were injured when unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle intercepted their motorcycle near the Masjid Bait-ul-Mukarram on main University Road and fired at them.
Both the injured were rushed to the Jinnah Post-Graduate Mediacl Centre in critical condition, however, Allah Bukhsh breathed his last on way to the hospital.
According to the police, the deceased was a private security guard.
In a similar incident, Ghulam Murtuza Jalbani, 42, was shot dead by unidentified armed motorcyclists near the Moosa Mandi in Cattle Colony while he was going home on his motorcycle.
The body was shifted to the JPMC for legal formalities. Police said that the deceased family members told them that Jalbani was killed due to old enmity.
