Thank you, Gen Raheel

One cannot but admire Gen Raheel Sharif for his presence, along with his wife, at the Army Public school in Peshawar when it re-opened after the carnage of December 16. His gesture of visiting the school and meeting those present was a big morale booster for both parents and students. His presence also signals a resolve of the armed forces to take on the terrorists.
Gen Raheel Sharif is a bold, honest and determined soldier who is leading the fight against terrorism and is continuously on the move to oversee the ongoing operations. If an opinion poll is taken today, Gen Raheel Sharif will rightly stand out to be the most popular figure in the country. Unfortunately, the role and responsibility abdicated by our political leaders is also being taken care of by Gen Raheel Sharif which is an added burden on him.
