This refers to the news story, ‘Imran loses NA-122 by more votes’ (January 11). Imran Khan never requested recounting but demanded a complete audit that only meant verification of votes, thumb impressions and probing allegations levelled against ROs. Reportedly, Form 14 and Form 15, which are considered essential for an objective assessment of elections, have not been submitted by ROs of 51 constituencies. This speaks volumes of how free and fair the 2013 elections were.
If Imran Khan loses with more votes that means even the counting was incorrect. It is true not a single allegation levelled by Imran has been proved correct. This is because not a single allegation has been probed so far. The PML-N needs to put its house in order and should get down to electoral reforms without wasting any more time.
