LAHORE: The Punjab Healthcare Commission on Wednesday stopped 23 laboratories and centres from carrying out various diagnostic tests and initiated legal proceedings against them.
According to a press release, in a joint action with the district government’s drug team in three different parts of the city, surprise raids were conducted in Shadbagh, Samanabad and Ferozepur Road where five, ten and nine laboratories respectively were stopped from functioning for being unregistered with the PHC and bad clinical conditions.
These included Zeenat Lab and Collection Centre, Al-Ahmed Lab, Nasir Lab, Al-Zubaida Medical Lab and Bio Tech Lab in Shadbagh, Salman Chughtai Lab, UK Chughtai Laboratory, Zeenat Laboratory, Shifa Lab, UK Chughtai Collection Centre, Rahat laboratory, Health Vision Lab, Zeenat Laboratory Collection Center and Hadi Medical Lab in Samanabad, Model Lab and Diagnostic Centre, Life Care Lab, City Lahore Lab, Anmol Laboratory, Sheheryar Laboratory, Multi Test Lab and Meezan Lab near the General Hospital, and Medics Lab near the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
