Driver found shot dead in DHA

A man working as a driver was found shot dead outside his employer’s house in the Defence Housing Authority late on Wednesday night. 

The victim, Swabi native Zahid Khan, was found shot dead outside his employer’s house on Khayaban-e-Rahat, Phase VI, DHA. SSP South Saqib Ismail Memon said Zahid’s body was first reported by a team of the Darakshan police and said that the victim’s wallet was found in his pocket. Zahid’s mobile phone was also found in his room at the house.

As per the SSP, a watchman said people in a green Toyota Corolla had come to meet Zahid. A case was reported and investigations are underway to ascertain the motive of the murder.

 

‘Criminals’ arrested 

Five criminals, including two from the militant wing of a political party, one affiliated with a banned outfit and a Lyari gangster, were arrested on Wednesday during raids in Baldia, SITE, Kemari and Zaman Town areas, according to the spokesman for the Rangers.  Weapons and ammunitions were found on them.
