PESHAWAR: The Netherlands ambassador to Pakistan Marcel De Vink on Friday visited the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy and praised it for the role and success in such a short time.
The ambassador inspected different sections of the academy including Research Wing, Radio Meezan, Mediation Centre and other portions. He was impressed with the success of the judicial academy, which is first Postgraduate Institute of Judicial Studies and Research in Asia and fourth in the world.
The UNDP Rule of Law programme’s representatives, Director General Judicial Academy Hayat Ali Shah, Dean Faculty Dr Khurshid Iqbal, Senior Director Administration Sofia Waqar Khattak, Director Administration Ihsanullah Mehsud and other officials were present on the occasion.
Hayat Ali Shah briefed the envoy on the functions of Research Wing, Radio Meezan, Mediation Centre and training programmes for judicial officers, lawyers and various department officials related to judicial system. He stated LLM and PhD would soon be launched.
