NAWABSHAH: The Chairman of the Municipality of Nawabshah, Azeem Mughal, said that the sewage disposal system in the city was being augmented. Talking to the media at the Chairman House, Azeem Mughal said that sewerage lines laid 40 years back were in a dilapidated condition and overflowing in many parts of the city. The choking of the main line near the Vegetable Market had adversely affected sewage disposal.
He said that in order to resolve the issue on an emergency basis additional disposal plants were being installed in Liaquatabad, Malik Colony and other suitable sites. Speaking on the matter of issuance of death and birth certificates in one week’s time, Azeem Mughal said that arrangements were being made in consultation with Deputy Commissioner Nouman Siddique and some Nadra officials. He said that in the meantime, the municipality had started issuing provisional certificates.
