IGP Thursday issued transfer and posting orders of officers.
Imran Yaqoob has been posted as SP CRO, Nadim Abbas as Additional SP Cantt Investigation, Tariq as SP CIA, Waseem Akhtar as DSP Security, Assad ur Rehman as DSP Ghazi Company, Tafoor Akhtar as SDPO Cantt Rawalpindi, Abdul Rehman as SDPO Khoshab, Assadullah as SDPO Sadar Bhakar, Kamran as DSP Headquarters Okara, and Naveed Irshad has been posted as DSP Mobile Cantt. Mohammad Irshad has been transferred to Security Zone and Farhat Abbas has been sent to police line.
released: Additional Sessions Judge Faheem Afzal visited Central Jail and Camp Jail, Lahore, on Thursday.
During his visit, he ordered release of 70 prisoners involved in petty crimes.
awareness: The chief traffic officer, CTO, said that traffic awareness campaign to educate the citizens about traffic laws would be launched today.
He said that at least 2 lakh pamphlets and brochures would be distributed among the citizens during the campaign.
rewarded: The DIG Operations gave away cash prizes and appreciation certificates to the officers and officials of Sattukatla police station.
Those who received cash prizes and appreciation certificates included Sattukatla SHO Nasir, sub-inspector Alam, ASI Mubarak Ali, two head constables Abdul Raoof and Sajjad and five constables Sharafat, Habib, Amjad, Zaheer and Saqib.
Focal person: On the initiative of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC), Punjab, National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Punjab, has nominated its Deputy Director (Operations) Muhammad Mazhar Javed as focal person to coordinate with the commission for resolution of the expats' problems referred to NAB.
Director Legal Raja Muhammad Zubair would be focal person from OPC. Modalities in this regard were settled between OPC Director General Syed Javed Iqbal Bokhari and NAB Punjab Director General Major (R) Syed Burhan Ahmad during a meeting at NAB Head Office, Lahore.
The OPC DG apprised the NAB Punjab DG of the cases of overseas Pakistanis affected by two housing societies.
The NAB Punjab DG assured that NAB was already investigating the scams and the money invested by overseas Pakistanis in these projects would be reimbursed to them on priority basis.
Syed Burhan Ahmad said that NAB would extend its full support to OPC regarding swift disposal of cases of overseas Pakistanis. Giving details about the working of OPC, Syed Javed said that a-state-of the-art complaint registration system had been introduced and all complaints of overseas Pakistanis referred to districts were monitored electronically. During the meeting certain complaints about the two housing schemes, referred to NAB by OPC, also came under discussion.
