Noman, Zahab clinch squash titles
KARACHI: Mohammad Noman and Zahab Khan clinched men’s and women’s titles, respectively, in Sindh Ranking Squash Championship Circuit-I here at the PSF-Jahangir Khan Squash Complex, PSB Coaching Centre, on Tuesday.
Sindh Squash Association (SSA) in collaboration with the “Sports for Life” organised this tournament.
Favourite Noman thrashed fourth seed Mahad Javed in straight sets, registering a convincing 11-4, 11-7, 11-8 victory in 17 minutes.
Top seed Zahab Khan dropped a set before overpowering second Noor Ul Huda by 11-8, 8-11, 11-8, 11-9 score in 23 minutes.
In boys U17 final, second seed Saad Abdullah stunned top seed Talha Alam, recording an 11-7, 9-11, 14-12, 11-9 victory in 25 minutes.
Second seed Rafi Khan took 18 minutes to beat third seed Obaidullah by 11-4, 11-6, 11-8 score in boys U15 summit clash.
In boys U13 final, Fawaz got a walkover against Ismail.
Second seed Zaynab clinched girls U15 title as she thrashed favourite Ilsa Imran by 11-8,11-5,11-7 in 19 minutes.
