SUKKUR: A poster competition among the students of environmental engineering and water, sanitation and health sciences (WaSHS) departments of the US-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) was held at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET) Jamshoro.
A total of 24 students participated in the poster competition. MS students of environmental engineering displayed their posters on different physical, chemical and biological processing units on water and climate whereas the students of WaSHS presented their posters on chemistry and biology.
After the competition certificate distribution ceremony was held in which the chief guest Dr. Mohammad Aslam Chaudhry said that poster competition and such activities were basically brainstorming for the future research. He also said that a student research paper competition will be held soon to encourage students to undertake research writings.
According to the decision of the jury, Sumra Arain and Huma Tariq got first position while Muhammad Raffae, Jassica Lawrence, Pashmina Iftikhar and Shaista Mubarak got second positions and Doulat Ram got third position in the poster competition.
