Man, daughter killed in roof collapse

BAHAWALPUR: A man and his daughter were killed in a roof collapse at Mohallah Tailiyan in Bahawalnagar on Sunday.
Nabeel Ahmad and his family were sleeping in their house when its roof collapsed. As a result, Nabeel and his minor daughter Rafia were killed on the spot while Sonia was critically injured. She was rushed to the DHQ Hospital from where the doctors referred her to a Lahore hospital due to her critical condition.
Gangster killed in encounter

BAHAWALPUR: An unidentified gangster was killed during an encounter with Takhat Mahal police in Katcha area of Sutlej River.
According to Bahawalnagar DPO office spokesman Inspector Asif Saeed, the police signaled three gangsters at a checkpost near Nooraywala Bund, but they opened fire on them and escaped. The police started chasing them. Seeing the police, the outlaws again opened fire on them, which was retaliated. As a result, an unidentified gangster was killed on the spot while the others fled. The body was shifted to the Bahawalnagar DHQ Hospital where autopsy was conducted.
Man killed, four injured over land row

BAHAWALPUR: A man was killed and four others were injured over a land dispute at Faridabad in Channi Goth police limits.
There was a land dispute between Randhawa and Kharral groups. On Sunday, both groups attacked and opened fire on each other. As a result, Irshad Randhawa was killed on the spot while four others were injured.
