LAHORE THE Lahore High Court Tuesday sought reply from the Punjab government on a petition challenging closure of evening education academies on the pretext of security. The petitioner argued that the Punjab government had started closing down evening academies in the name of security and by doing so wasting precious time of students who could not afford heavy fees of morning education institutions. They pointed out that the government had adopted an anti-education policy and it should be stopped because thousands of teachers might lose their right of earning livelihood.
