Three BHU staffers suspended for being absent

GUJRANWALA: DCO Muhammad Amir Jan suspended three staffers of Chak Chaudhry Basic Health Unit for being absent from duty on Friday.
The DCO paid a surprise visit to the BHU and found nutritionist Ayesha Javed, Chief Technician Saifur Rahman and naib qasid Muhammad Idrees absent from duty. He also ordered an inquiry against them.
CASES ORDERED: In the light of inquiry reports, ACE Director Ashfaq Ahmad Chaudhry has ordered registration of cases against seven officials and issued arrest warrants for three others.
According to details, allegations of corruption, fraud and misuse of powers against EST Sajjad Hussain, Education Department senior clerk Latif Ahmad, patwari Faiz Ahmad, patwari Bashir Ahmad, UC secretary Muhammad Nawaz, RTA clerk Amir Siddique, UC secretary Rab Nawaz and patwari Sarfraz Ali were proved during inquiries.
INQUIRY BEGINS: The ACE has started an inquiry against a contractor on the charge of using substandard material in the construction of a road.
In an application, Zubair Baig alleged that the contractor had used substandard material in construction of Khan Musalman Road, causing Rs 190 million loss to the national exchequer. The ACE director has appointed Assistant Director Technical Ghulam Ghaus as the inquiry officer, who has summoned the officers concerned with record.
