DCO orders steps to ensure smooth traffic

FAISALABAD: DCO Salman Ghani Friday asked the authorities concerned to remove encroachments and debris from roads to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
This was stated by the DCO during a visit to Kashmir Bridge on Canal Road that connects Jhumra Road and different housing colonies. Nespak Resident Engineer Amjad Saeed, DO Roads Iftikhar Ahmad, Tepa Traffic Engineer Shoaib Sheikh and officers of the revenue department also accompanied him. He said an underpass adjacent to Kashmir Bridge was must to avoid traffic jams. He directed the engineers to chalk out a plan for temporary solution to resolve traffic issue on Kashmir Bridge.
The DCO also visited Tezab Mills Chowk and directed remodeling of the chowk. He examined traffic issues at Bashir Nizami Chowk, Chenab Club Chowk, Lasani Puli, Sargodha Road, Bawa Chak Chowk, Samana Pul, Nalka Kohala stop and directed engineers to relocate different U-turns on Sargodha Road. He also directed remodelling of Chenab Chowk, Bashir Nizami Chowk, Ghazi Abdul Rasheed Chowk, Jhang Road Chowk, Susan Road Chowk and other intersections on different roads of the city.
The DCO stressed the need for removing unnecessary and illegal U-turns to avoid accidents and ordered installation of reflectors on road dividers.
