City District Government Lahore (CDGL) arrested 88 shopkeepers for overcharging on Tuesday.
The CDGL officials said price control magistrates raided 889 places and arrested 88 shopkeepers and sent 12 to jail from the spot.
They said a fine of Rs 45,500 was also imposed on the profiteers. The DCO directed all the magistrates to continue operations against profiteers. —Correspondent
